Wales’s Minimum Unit Pricing (MUP) for alcohol has been in effect since 2 March 2020, which means alcohol cannot be sold below the minimum price per unit. As of 1 October 2026, the Minimum Unit Price has increased to 65p per unit.

The Minimum Unit Pricing is the price per unit (65p) x the strength of alcohol (% ABV) x the volume (litres).
